About this course
This module is designed to give you a base-level understanding of applying initial response first aid when injuries must be managed until further assistance arrives. It also explores the essential items in a first aid kit, emergency response support and legal obligations.
You will learn all the fundamentals you need to know to deal with everyday first aid situations; choking, burns, bites and stings, sprains and strains, eye irritation, wounds and bleeding, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, asthma and how to manage more complex first aid situations.

- understand the roles, responsibilities, and legal obligations of a first aider
- recognise the necessary skills and knowledge to assess and address safety and risk emergencies
