About this course
This module assists leaders in supporting employees to achieve a safe return to work (RTW) after periods of illness or injury in a way that will facilitate their best possible recovery. It covers the fundamentals of non-work related injuries or illnesses and the minimum management requirements and responsibilities. It also explores real-life examples providing practical ways to support an effective and successful RTW. Learning objectives: - understand the definition of non-work related and long non-work related injury or illness - determine the best approach to manage non-work related injury or illness - recognise employer's obligations regarding non-work related injury or illness - know the processes to return to work and apply adequate practices to ensure a successful return - identify the best practices to reduce the risk of claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination or breaches of general - protections provisions of the Fair Work Act - understand strategies to review ongoing employment.
