About this course
This module is designed to give you a fundamental level of knowledge and skills that relate to the management of fatigue in the heavy vehicle transport industry. It covers the nature, causes, and signs of fatigue and an understanding of the workplace risks and consequences associated with fatigue. A major component of this module is the obligations of drivers and others in the supply chain for managing fatigue under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Learning Outcomes: - understand the nature of fatigue - identify the typical causes of fatigue - recognise the personal warning signs of fatigue - understand the workplace risks and consequences associated with fatigue -determine personal actions to control the effects of each of the causes of fatigue - recognise your workplace requirements - recognise actions shift workers can take to assist in developing quality sleep patterns.
